The Premium APS Fluid Writer Pen is a professional tool designed for the precise repair of paint defects such as stone chips and deep scratches. Its extremely thin and elongated tip enables highly accurate, pinpoint application of paint. With an integrated paint container, the Fluid Writer Pen can be filled once and used to treat multiple damaged areas. The 0.5 mm opening is ideal for applying most paints without prior thinning. The included cleaning needle makes it easy to remove paint residue from the tip; however, for thorough cleaning, a nitro thinner should still be used.
Before treatment, carefully but thoroughly scrape the damaged area with a scalpel. Then, pre-clean it using a cotton swab dipped in thinner or IPA. Next, fill the Fluid Writer Pen using a suitable tool. The varnish should be sufficiently liquid so that drops naturally sink into the pen's reservoir. If the varnish is too thick or viscous, it must be thinned first.
To test the pen, briefly tap the tip on a hard surface until the first drops of varnish emerge. The pen is now ready for use. Each touch of the tip to the treatment surface will release a small amount of varnish. Continue dabbing until the damaged area is completely filled. For optimal results, create a slight dome of varnish over the repair. Once dry, sand off the excess varnish and polish the area to a high shine. Ideally, the repair should be virtually invisible, even upon close inspection.
Important note: After use, thoroughly clean the Fluid Writer Pen with paint thinner. Additionally, use the included cleaning needle to remove any paint residue from the tip.
